I am a Los Angeles-based twentysomething. I have a profession, and I have a secret life in music, and this blog isn't about any of that. I like Blogger because I can't read what you're thinking.

DON'T NEED NO CREDIT CARDS TO RIDE THIS TRAIN

Huey Lewis and The News has to be the greatest "lame" band in the entire world. Their lyrics mostly suck (mostly), their songs sound the same (a little too much on the 6/8 metres), but their sound is infectious and somewhat pleasing. It's the definitive in '80s pop, for they emphasize a horn section.

That's something I've always wanted to know: Why did so much of '80s pop have horn parts? It's so strange that for a glimmer in that decade authentic rock had a short revival. Weird, if you listen back on the popular hits from 20 years ago.

It's almost night time and it's a Friday night. It's been a terribly long and hectic week, so I think I'll take this night off and sleep.

Sleep. Wow. That sounds so ...foreign.

Have a great, safe weekend -- enjoy the weather! I'm truly very happy to live in Southern California, the home of the best (and occasionally, really fucking confusing) weather on earth.

If you don't live in Southern California, frankly, I'm sorry that you probably can't enjoy this great weather. We're climate elitists and we'd like to keep it that way. If you'll excuse me, I have to make a phone call to the UN and laugh my freaking ass off to the ambassador of Uganda.
