IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE GROWN-UPS

I've never felt "old" until a couple days ago, when I was browsing through my student's iPod, hoping to find a pop song to teach her. She is 13.

Seeing the obvious look of confusion on my face, she said, "I dunno if you'll find anything... it's pretty much all jerk music."

"Jerk music?" I said. "What's jerk music?"

She snickered.

And, inside, I died a little bit.
