UGH, WHATEVER

The trailer for "Where The Wild Things Are" must have given hipsters all over the world a massively huge collective boner. Arcade Fire? Really? SOOO CONCEPTUAL.

I saw the new Harry Potter film last night. Besides this one, I've only seen the first one, and it was so long ago I don't even remember what it was about. And I'm definitely not familiar with the books.

It was like showing up at a party you're kind of pushed into going, and everyone there is on the same wavelength and you're just, like, "Uh... huh?"

I think it was good?

----

On the fourth of July, some friends and family joined up at the park to watch a fireworks show. The Girlfriend and I had a one-upped after one-upped freak out moment.
[fireworks boom boom pow kapow]

[Chicago's "Saturday in the Park" starts playing]

THE GIRLFRIEND AND I: [singing in unison] SATADAY... OH MY GOD IT'S SATURDAY LOLZ

THE GIRLFRIEND AND I: [singing in unison] ...IN THE PAHK... OH MY GOD IT'S SATURDAY AND WE'RE IN A PARK!!! LOLZ

THE GIRLFRIEND AND I: [singing in unison] ...I THINK IT WAS THE FOURTH OF JULY!!!!!!!!!! OMFG IT'S SATURDAY, WE'RE IN A PARK, AND IT'S ACTUALLY THE FOURTH OF JULY WTF!
It was as if god was pissing ultimate dorkdom all over us. Can you dig it? Yes, I can.

Let's sign off the week with that tune. This is the greatest weather ever.
