I was just about to prep my veins for some Glee-substitute heroin, but NBC's got a program called Sing Off which is an a capella group competition. One of the judges is Ben Folds. Excuse me, my boner needs a music nerd moment.

Why does white boy parody rap get everyone into a frenzy? When was it ever funny? Is it this generation's minstrel show, but without the paint? I don't get it.

One of the cool things about moonlighting as a piano teacher is your students sometimes introduce you to some really good music. Yesterday, one of my youngens e-mailed me this dose of brilliance:
