CLOSE CALL

Today I woke up with a thought that knocked me out of bed: "...DID I MISS MY BLOG'S BIRTHDAY!?!?!"

So I drove to work super fast and found out the date to my first ever (Blogger.com) post.

Turns out it was July 15, 2002. As of today, my blog (formerly "my blog") has been around for 8 years. And that's not including the LiveJournal-ing 2 years prior! GOLD STARS FOR EVERYONE!!!

I wish I could say it's something I'm proud of, but it really isn't. All this blogging stuff is like EXTREMELY cheap and COMPLETELY INEFFECTIVE therapy and looking back on old posts is only a reminder that I am still a very, very naive fool. I can haz grow upz?

Anyway --

Dear my-blog,

You were, are, and will continue to be the greatest blog ever. Thank you for letting me unload a bunch of stupidity in your place 5 times a week. Thank you for not judging me (in front of my face.) Thank you for being a twisted voice of reason in hindsight research. ._O
