I am a Los Angeles-based twentysomething. I have a profession, and I have a secret life in music, and this blog isn't about any of that. I like Blogger because I can't read what you're thinking.

THE AGE OF DOUBTQUARIUS

It just dawned on me that this is next week and I am not that prepared. I really, really need to brush up on scales, ear training, and some other theory stuff that I've put behind in recent years. While I'm certain I'll avoid making an ass of myself (I have a few originals and covers in my pocket), I'm terrified of not knowing something that I'm supposed to know.

Yeah, sort of like that.

I don't think one needs more proof to realize their devotion to music than when one travels three thousand miles for a few hours of instruction. I seriously don't think it's that crazy.

Hopefully I'll have enough time to meet up with some old media buddies and make fun of Brooklyn. Aren't they so dumb?
