SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME
Brad Mehldau leads jazz trios and solo composer-pianists from the New York City area in an exploration of jazz improvisation and creative collaboration during two intense days of master classes at (Le) Poisson Rouge.

I got invited. I'm still pinching myself.

I don't care if my time in NYC only lasts 48 hours. Having some, even a slice, of tutelage from Mehldau himself is something I could have only dreamed about years ago. It's not hero worship; throw the man away, and it's being in the presence of stark, applied creativity alongside like-minded musicians. I am very, very lucky and I am very, very grateful.
