I am a Los Angeles-based twentysomething. I have a profession, and I have a secret life in music, and this blog isn't about any of that. I like Blogger because I can't read what you're thinking.

THE BRITISH BALLBUSTING CORPORATION

To your left you'll find a link for BBC Online's "Have Your Say" -- it's a forum that puts an issue out and lets the public (upon what I hear is crucial monitoring) duke it out with words. Not many responses are picked. That discourages me from ever typing in a response.

But the other day was a bit different. I wrote in.

The topic?

Microsoft is celebrating 30 years in existence. What do you think of Microsoft? How can it sustain its position? Should one company be allowed to have so much hold on the market? Send us your comments.

This is what I had written in:

Gates has a work ethic that is unmatched. His company deserves most of the success it garners. But I must be frank about Microsoft's open reputation for outsourcing high-paying jobs to workers in poverty-laden regions of the world. It's not good for the world. But, in the end, his products are. And for that, even in times of Microsoft's shady employment options, I tip my hat to Gates and the progress of technology that benefits the entire world. Congrats!

It's bittersweet, methinks (did you kids catch the subtle sarcasm?). Anyway, I checked the forum out today. My response was published. But, uh, yeah. Look for yourself.

I got served by the BBC. (Here's the link)

Well, what can I expect? This is the same company that produces Masterpiece Theatre. LAAAAAAAAME.

Happy Birthday, Tam!
