I am a Los Angeles-based twentysomething. I have a profession, and I have a secret life in music, and this blog isn't about any of that. I like Blogger because I can't read what you're thinking.

WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT ALL ABOUT

It's Wednesday.

2:49 p.m.

Paddy's Pub.

I mean, my house.

Just finished some treadmill action (when there are no tennis partners, you can always rely on a conveyor belt).

As of last week, 8 resumes sent to potential employers.

Of those 8, zero responses. It ain't personal -- it's just that I'm clearly too amazing for them to handle.

Currently employed by teaching several kids private piano. Full-time pay at barely part-time hours? Almost too cushy.

Double, maybe triple posts at the magazine gig. It's been over a month since I've been on the street doing some actual, meaty culture reporting. A musical muckraker was I! There's yet been an LA band in recent months who's interested me enough to meet, cover and interview them. Dry spell, these streets lately.

It's also been really quiet lately.

Gilmore Girls is on. I can't seem to get past watching more than 2 minutes of the program. They're all equally catty. As if, in some strange way, the region they live in developed a universal communication style. They could all be novelists.
