STITCHES REMOVAL

I went with a new (and more local) doctor yesterday. Before he came in, the nurse wanted to take my blood pressure and weight. When I stepped on the scale, I saw a strategically placed certificate of medicine study completed from Harvard staring at me.

"Well, this is a bold statement," I said to myself.

Aloud.

The doctor finally came in and I knew that this would be the last time I would ever have to tell this story ever again (or, for at least, a very, very long time). The stitches would be removed and the really repulsed expressions from others would simply return to their normal repulsed expressions, and without the questioning.
DOC: So, what happened?
And I told him. Everything. And I got a brief lecture on defining those who I should keep close to me, and a whole load of "considering the damage, you're INCREDIBLY lucky you didn't have brain swelling and major fracture."
DOC: ...so here's a lollipop.

HUGO: This ...isn't... a pediatrician...

DOC: Well, that night, you had the judgement of a child, so you deserve one. Next time, let's hope you don't get a lollipop.
Touche.
