AND NOW THE END IS NEAR

Harvey Levin did a cover of "My Way" produced by Paul Anka. I know this because I watch TMZ, and because I have the TMZ app. #H8RZGONNAH8

Anyway, the recording reminded me of the times at music school where I'd walk past the recording department and I'd see some white girl from, like Costa Mesa, try to do her best Nina Simone. It's one of many funny dynamics that come with music academia: Folks trying to be black without ever understanding a fraction of the black experience.

Music school should have a class called "Adversity 101." The final would be living without a car for 2 days.
